Three-channel film, 11:57

Made in Sinclair, Wyoming, on 16mm with local non-performers, this three-channel work examines the relationships between the refinery and the people who live within the town built to sustain it. The audio is derived from interviews about the development of Sinclair and historical data on the town's creation. The work references and subverts Abel Gance's silent film Napoléon, which pioneered a technique called Polyvision (the first three-channel innovation) in its final moments.
